A Sweet Floral Dog Collar

Earlier this spring, Cassie contacted me to make a floral dog collar for her engagement session. I've been surprised by the number of brides who want collars for their dogs this year! It was fun to put together, and isn't this puppy such a beauty?

Lindsay and Maciek's Romantic Garden Wedding at Bridges Golf Course

I loved designing Lindsay's wedding flowers. Feminine textures, a romantic palette, garden-inspired blooms and a loose, cascading shape...this girl has killer style. One look at her amazing dress and you know that I'm telling the truth! I loved the combination of creams and greens with touches of blush, and I chose to use peonies, roses, stock, spray roses, Star of Bethlehem, and Queen Anne's Lace with mixed dusty miller, foraged olive, and ivy vines. I also loved the bridesmaid bouquets - light and full, and so pretty! We finished up all the bouquets with lovely silk ribbon from newly launched Canadian company Stella Wolfe (if all my brides brought me silks from Stella Wolfe, I wouldn't be complaining. Just saying.).

I'm so glad that Kampphotography got some amazing photos of the flowers, because I did a terrible job with my iphone-ography, as per usual. Thanks guys!

Jackie and Nate's Rustic Fort Gibraltar Wedding

Jackie and Nate's wedding was rustic, but in the right way. As in, the not ripped-straight-from-Pinterest way. I loved designing their flowers, as you can probably tell from my last blog post. Hailey Funk Photography did an amazing job of capturing these photos at Fort Gibraltar, and I wanted to share a little more from it!

White and Green Wedding Bouquet Recipe

Jackie and Nate were married the last weekend of May, and I absolutely loved making her bouquet. It was all white and green, with a botanical, natural-inspired shape. We used large headed white roses, ranunculus, sweet pea, and silver brunia and I also included bleeding heart and lily of the valley from my garden. I can't tell you how much I loved including flowers I grew myself! These photos are from the wonderful Hailey Funk Photography.

Jackie was also the SWEETEST bride. She was totally open to me doing my thing, and on the day of the wedding, she was just the happiest bride I've seen. She was just laid-back and walking on air. It was such a wonderful wedding to be a part of!

Luxurious Purple Wedding Centrepiece

Last week I shared with you the bouquet and boutonnieres I designed at the flower workshop I attended earlier this year. Today, it's all about the centrepieces! 

This one all started with the lilacs! Some more of my favourites were added in, which was exciting because they're not varieties I can always get my hands on: hellebore, foxglove, and some seriously amazing greenery varieties like honeysuckle and elaeagnus. Plus, I love how the purple tones look against this deep navy velvet backdrop. Can this please be your wedding palette? Pretty, pretty please? I promise I'll make you pretty flowers :)
