2015 Season Update

Hi flower friends and brides! I wanted to send you a quick update on the 2015 wedding season, in case you are still planning your date. 

Stone House Creative is now completely booked from June through September 2015! I have two dates still available at the end of October, and a couple of spaces each in November and December 2015. I also have a few spaces in April and May 2015, in case you are a late planner :) 

I've started to book consultations for 2016 winter weddings, however if you are getting married in summer 2016, you are in no rush to book a consultation. We can definitely wait until this coming summer and fall to start discussing your floral plans in more detail, so don't worry! Summer consultation dates will vary week by week, depending on my wedding schedule. My attention will always be first focused on my brides with upcoming weddings, and when your wedding date comes closer, you will be given the same dedicated attention. 

Summer 2015 is going to be a busy one, and I absolutely cannot wait. I am so grateful to my brides for their excitement and trust in me. We've got everything from lush ceremony garlands to scattered centrepieces in vintage silver goblets, all-greenery arrangements to bold shades of coral and pink. I've even got a wedding coming up this month that we'll be incorporating fox fur into the bouquet, as a nod to a special family member who is a furrier! I'm so excited to get my hands on spring and summer flowers, especially some local blooms that are going to be so fresh that your mind will be blown. Or, at least, mine will be :)

Well, this is an exciting afternoon! Between working on flower quotes for 2015 and 2016 weddings and daydreaming of what's to come this April when I head down to North Carolina to attend round 2 of Team Flower Workshop, I got to see this pretty bouquet I made last year at the workshop featured on Style Me Pretty today! Check out the full bouquet recipe here!

Thank You

I recently started to revise my business plan. You know, that pesky document that everyone says you need when you start a business? It was actually really fun for me to put together, but when I did that this past spring, I really had no idea what to expect. So about 6 months later, I found myself excited to revise it and reflect on where things have come so far.

I want to say thank you. Thank you to the amazing brides that I have been overwhelmingly happy to meet with; thank you to this city's vibrant, incredibly talented wedding professionals who have been helping me grow my business and referring me to my brides; thank you to my friends and family and my awesome husband Chad, who built me an awesome studio in our house; thank you to my flower friends both in Winnipeg and internationally, for your sweet comments and encouraging notes. Thank you for your emails, your consultation requests, your support and encouragement. 

When I developed my business plan this spring, I set myself the goal of booking 2 weddings for 2015. I've now booked 16 and am almost fully booked for June through October 2015. SIXTEEN! I am just blown away and so so excited for the future. I am so blessed. Thank you!
