A Sweet Floral Dog Collar
Earlier this spring, Cassie contacted me to make a floral dog collar for her engagement session. I've been surprised by the number of brides who want collars for their dogs this year! It was fun to put together, and isn't this puppy such a beauty?
Thank you to Brittany Mahood Photography for the lovely photos!
Luxurious Purple Wedding Centrepiece
Last week I shared with you the bouquet and boutonnieres I designed at the flower workshop I attended earlier this year. Today, it's all about the centrepieces!
This one all started with the lilacs! Some more of my favourites were added in, which was exciting because they're not varieties I can always get my hands on: hellebore, foxglove, and some seriously amazing greenery varieties like honeysuckle and elaeagnus. Plus, I love how the purple tones look against this deep navy velvet backdrop. Can this please be your wedding palette? Pretty, pretty please? I promise I'll make you pretty flowers :)

Organic Garden-Inspired Wedding Bouquet
Earlier this spring, I attended a floral design workshop in North Carolina. I had the pleasure of learning from and working alongside some of my absolute floral designer heroes, and it was really exciting! This bouquet came about in a round-about way, and when it was complete, I couldn't feel happier about it. I loved the neutral palette, the organic shape (special thanks to the delicious freckled foxgloves on that!), and how light and airy it was. I've got more coming next week from the workshop, so keep your eye out!

Romantic Bridal Bouquet: A Preview
A few weeks ago, I collaborated with Kat Willson Photography and a few other AMAZING wedding vendors to put together a stunning bridal portrait shoot. I'm so excited to get this film in and am basically on pins and needles waiting for the images. In the meantime, I thought I'd share with you how things can sometimes come together for me! Most of the time, I like to get the flowers in my hand and let them come together. Once in a while, I do a little sketching (which BTW I am horrible at, but when you get watercolour markers, it makes you look like a genius). I normally just sketch things out to show a general shape, or to see what a tablescape will look like. In this case, I really enjoy looking back at my sketch, which I did up a few weeks before the shoot when I was planning my flower order.
Comparing the sketch and the final design is fun! I changed up the colouring a little bit, and switched up the foliage, but other than that, there are some serious similarities! What do you think?
Spring Engagement Photos with a Lilac Bouquet
I absolutely LOVE lilacs, and when they are in bloom, man! Do I ever have to capitalize on them! These were picked from my lovely friend's yard, and I mixed them with some apple blossoms and other things I found growing around the neighbourhood. It smelled lovely, and was just the sweetest addition to Teighan and Adam's engagement session with Austin Kylie Photography!
