Organic Pastel Wedding Inspiration at Cielo's Garden

This past winter, I felt my creativity genes itching and really wanted to get out and do something a little bit different, in a different way than I had in the past. So, I approached Jaclyn of Host Winnipeg to co-host an entire day of mini styled photoshoots with me, working with a different Winnipeg wedding planner on each one. We invited a handful of great wedding planners, gave them the overall colour palette, and simply asked them to show up on the day of the shoot and get creative! I designed a number of different centrepieces, Jaclyn and I set up table after table full of tabletop details, styling props stationery samples from Keeks Paper Co, and linens and decor rentals from Planned Perfectly. Oh, and we were working out at Cielo's Garden - such a beautiful space!

Today I'm sharing photos from Pantel Photography of the organic pastel tablescape I designed in collaboration with Host Winnipeg, and I'll be sharing more over the coming months from the other wedding planners' tables! Jaclyn and I started off with this gorgeous, hand-died muslin table runner from The Flower Cult. The stormy grey-blue colour was the perfect shade to bring depth to the other pastel colours that I worked in through the softer pink and purple florals. I chose a stone urn for the centrepiece, because I just love the natural texture the stone brings to a tablescape, especially for a wedding that's more garden-inspired like this one. Olive sprigs at each placesetting, wood candlestick holders, and slate-tinted glassware pulled the design together beautifully. And I just loved tucking that last little bit of foraged lilac into the centrepiece!

We also designed a mini bridal portrait session with models Eva and Vanessa. I just loved working with Makeup Expressions by Rimpal (makeup) and Krystle Taylor (hair). The bridal gown was provided by Bliss Bridal Boutique and the bridesmaid dress from Mad About Style.

I'm finding myself gravitating towards smaller bridal bouquets these days! While I'll always love a juicy, lush bouquet, this petite posey was refreshing. It features quicksand roses, amnesia roses, and  ocean song roses along with Queen Anne's Lace and locally foraged spirea.
